My name is Lana and I'm a jazz vocalist.
I've sung in choirs, in community theater musicals, and harmonized with folk singers. It's jazz, though, that has resonated so completely.
Jazz is such an immense art form and how it shows up is infinite. What we hope to reach for as a jazz musician can turn out to be huge, a delightful surprise, or an emotional connection.
It's mindful, it's magical, it's medicine.
It's a skylark, it's a kind of blue, it's a love supreme.
I love it. And, I want – more!

A jazz gig to celebrate a Big Birthday on the terrace with musicians, David, Brant and Brad.
I know how I cling adamantly to the microphone stand to ease my nerves while performing. So, in an effort to 'loosen up', I practiced moving (at least my arms!!) while a friend took this video.
In the summer of 2025, Wyatt Button and I performed three, what I've dubbed, Tiny Terrace concerts on the terrace of my building.

Lana and musician friend Sloan Morris have found a common jazz repertoire that the two of them turn into crowd-pleasing favorites.
